Have you ever wondered what it would be like to spend a night in a museum?
For the third edition of ‘Sleepover at…’ we collaborated with Museum Booijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam. Contestants were asked which piece of art they would like to spend 24 hours with. Out of the many creative submissions, 3 winners were chosen. Last Saturday, these winners got to spend their night at the museum together with a friend or loved one. Curious about their adventures? Discover the highlights below.
After everyone arrived and got to know each other, the visitors indulged in a 4-course dinner, provided by Pique Unique. Starting out with a selection of appetizing French and vegan oysters followed by a flavorful French onion soup. After came a ratatouille with grilled codfish and as dessert a heavenly cheese plate was served.
When all the taste pupils were sufficiently satisfied, the group headed into the museum for a private tour, wandering from Salvador Dali to Maurrizio Catelan and learning everything about Yayoi Kusama’s obsession with polka dots.
With their minds full of impressions, the contestants retired for one last drink before it was time to call it a day. They spend the rest of the night glamping in one of the comfortable tents provided by To Many Places.
The next morning, the well rested contestants enjoyed a yummy breakfast at the museum’s restaurant, after which they roamed Museum Booijmans Van Beuningen on their own for the rest of day.
Altogether the sleepover was a big success. Would you also love to win a night in such a unique location? Make sure to keep an eye out, because we will turn more interesting spaces into fabulous slumber parties.
